The bahian food is know for its taste and delicious delicacy like Acarajé and Abará, present in the famous bahian tabuler.

Recipe of Acarajé :
Given by the bahian woman association of Acarajé (BA).
The Acarajé depends on practice: beet well and with lots of love, always. Atention to the only spice, the onion: litlle has no taste, and to much can ruin it... good luck !

Ingredients:
2 kg fradinho beans
salt to taste
3 l dendê oil
4 mions

Preparation:
After sifting the let it soak for one or two hours. Take off the black eyes and let fall off the peel that will come off while it is soaking. Pass the beans though a grinder. Put the dough in a pan and beat it with a woodenspoon. Beat the onion in the blender, salt to taste, and put it together with the bean dough. Keep on stirring till it gets the smoothest and clearest possible. Pour in to a bowl or a pan the dendê oil and heat it. Some people put an onion in the hot oil to avoid the Acarajé burning while others leave one or two little balls frying with the same purpose. Form the ball with the dough and fry it in a very hot oil till it get's golden roasted.
